KALAMAZOO CELLO TEACHER & PERFORMER

I’m Lydia Raymond (Schubkegel), a passionate cellist and music enthusiast with over 17 years of experience playing cello and 7 years teaching cello. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Cello Performance from WMU, and attended graduate school at Belmont University in Nashville, TN. I’ve had the honor of recording with esteemed artists like Darius Rucker, Ben Rector, Cory Wong, and Cody Fry.

I consider it a privilege to share the joy of music through teaching students of various ages and skill levels. Whether I’m teaching, performing, collaborating with fellow musicians, or contributing to significant life events like weddings, every musical moment is a celebration.
